  • Hi Duncan, I just wanted to let you know that I am not trying to troll you. I'm just simply sharing my view of thongs and thought you might be interested since your so open minded. I didn't know if you have ever looked at the story of creation in the bible this way before and thought you might enjoy it even if the thought of the bible being so heavily coded and why Jesus spoke in parables to keep his secrets from Lucifer sound over the top. I love you buddy. You have a powerful gift.

  • I just wanted to say, my forty six year old half brother meets certian criteria of who the mandala will most likely work for, to try out this running method. He has a doctorate in lucid dreaming. What I got from his dissertation is that he stirs up kundalini in the dream state, evoking a divine experience that points towards nonduality, this in turn benefits the dreamers waking life. He is a college professor in the same broad field, and a theoretical psychologist working with people that have spiritual emergencies. I think he would be an excellent person to have on your podcast. If you see this and might want to talk to him, his website is tedesser.com My email is treeslungsveins@yahoo.com

  • If you have a moment, please check out my post titled: my mandala NON-DRUG TRIP glimpses of enlightenment under the spirituality section Otherwise here is a summary: I think I have made a powerful mandala that visually evokes glimpses of enlightenment when i holistically use a drug method to evoke its effects, and more interestingly when a non drug method is used. I posted this very question because I am searching for someone to view my mandala while they trip on Ayahuasca, and see if it hits them over the head with insight like it does for me. Then if it works for someone else, it could be used as a common virtuous steroid tool for enhancing insight from Ayahuasca. Also I have my brother, as well as a second person, a buddhist teacher from Steamboat Springs Colorado going for a run, because being thoroughly out of breath while viewing the mandala (which being throughly out of breath takes the place of drugs) Evokes the mandalas visual insight effects as well. The aim of this n

Can we use your DTFH logo for the insight meditation app group? Several of the folks from the Meditation Accountabilibuddies thread are interested in connecting through that app, and they provide for the formation of linked communities through the app. You wouldn't really have much oversight or control over it, and you may or may not be interested in joining up, so I totally understand if you don't want to deal with having your name attached to it.

  • Yoho, maaan! Check out this new game being made for OCULUS RIFT. Looks insane! They only have two day left on their kickstarter and we're trying to get them to $60,000 so they can afford to make 3d photoscans for the game. Any kind of repost or tweet from you would help, I'm sure! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/irisproductions/technolust-true-cyberpunk

I think standing up when you bike can help you get up a hill but will also raise your heart rate so it's a trade-off.. but in the long run I think it's better to try and stay seated as much as possible to gain stamina, endurance and stuff. Congratulations on your new bicycle life!

Hey Duncan, My name is Katie and I'm a brand new fan! I was listening to your 100th episode at work this morning and decided to make a backpack for the homeless. I bought an Adidas backpack from Goodwill and packed it with bananas, an apple, water, socks, pink flip flops, pens, paper, toothpaste, tooth brush, deodorant, cliff bars, ect. I walked around downtown Portland trying to find a woman that I wanted to give the bag to. I walked into the homeless community downtown and got a tour. I went to the Mission and talked to a lot of less fortunate people, got asked if i was a reporter. Had a few scary interactions with so,e meth heads. Then I finally found her..she didnt speak much english....her name was Maria and she couldn't get into the Mission for a nights sleep. She was sweet and didnt want any pictures taken. I think she was ashamed that she took the bag which only left me feeling worse. I walked away, got into my car and drove passed her. She was eating the apple. I cried.

You did a wonderful, thoughtful, thing. You showed her that someone out there cared enough about her to do something so selfless. Don't let this get you down. I am sure that you made an impact on her life and she will likely remember this longer than the last $5 that someone that someone slipped her. You are a good person and you did a wonderful thing for someone else who needed help. I commend you and I hope that the negative feelings that you felt don't prevent you from performing further humane acts. The world desperately needs people like you.

Wolfgang Reichmann worked tirelessly to put out his first solo LP, Wunderbar, pouring his heart and soul into this creation. Three weeks before the release date, Reichmann was killed in a seemingly-random knife attack. Described as "playful and slightly spooky," Wunderbar cuts to the core. Reichmann lives on through this music. I hope you'll listen and enjoy. Thank you for everything, Duncan.

  • For a while I was feeling like all we do on earth is just fill our lives with things that we do and do not enjoy in order to pass the time, until death comes. It started out for me as a very depressing thought. It was something that consumed me for a while, and a month and a half ago I was taking a walk thinking about this idea, when I heard a "meow." Ends up to be 4 Kittens in a ditch who couldn't have been more than 2 days old. Long story short, they were abandoned and I took them in, got a bottle from the vet, and tried to keep them alive. One night they all started dying, dropping like flies, one after another. Because life is weird like that, I found it amusing when "another one bites the dust" came on the French radio station I was listening to during all of these deaths. I realized after this that life might not have any point, and even if it does it doesn't help to think about it all of the time. But in this moment I was the most present I've ever been, and despite the horror o

I feel that. Existence is weird & the universe is incredible and complex. Who is to say if there is a 'point' to it all. I tend to flay wildly between hopeless nihilism and positive 'nofucksgiven' mode.

A couple of moments for thanking Mr Duncan Trussell. First off I would like to say thank you for being the inspirational singularity that envelopes this multiverse node. And if this universe is indeed a synthetic creation of ultimate quantum potential thank you for spreading it through the interweb. Secondly thank you for being that beacon of light and truth to so many folks who need it. Your an insipiration to all new partents who stare intently at there new sweeties. And the old people who for some reason hadn't gotten it together, and for all those teen and college kids who will ultimatly decide our fate on this third rock from the sun.

Remember algebra class?Variable A & X in these pointless equations where they'd give the value for a variable which allowed you to determine the value of the other variables?Well our authoritarian, monopolistic fiat currency money system is basically just a very simple algebra problem where THEY (Federal Reserve, US Treasury, big Wall Street banks)get to decide the value of certain variables that by RIGHT they have no business messing with!By changing interest rates, money volume, number of bonds (debts) they control the value of the dollar & working in collusion with other nations central banks most currencies. Those that don't play ball...BOOM!They have no right messin wit our dough! We have no free market! That's why when free market principles are adopted in our fiat system U get bad.Logical fallacy of context switching.Currency free market IS the answer. So long as its backed up by what it says.Bill with Joey Diaz on it is redeemable for a quad of bud.cannabis currency.Self defense.

Truth is constant but don't be so full of hubris as to think you know the truth and that you can't be wrong. Ostentatious primate! Please.

My man Duncan Trussell. I just finished up listening to the most recent JRE featuring Ari, Jason Silva and yourself. It's a great fucking episode and you really killed it. By far my most favorite episode of the JRE and it's gonna be one of those that I will go back and listen to for years. There was just an amazing amount of information discussed my mind exploded. Love ya brother!
