  • What a great list. Thanks a lot.
  • "Riddley Walker" by Russell Hoban
  • "Riddley Walker" by Russell Hoban

  • Martin Amis' "Time's Arrow" will give you a solid fucking.
Told entirely in reverse, it starts out with a chap "waking up" after having some kind of fluid taken out of his body via syringe by Nazi doctors. That kind of reverse.
It's brilliant. Go check it out from your local library immediately.
  • OMG "Time's Arrow" is amazing. You keep wondering, "How is Martin Amis doing this? how can he keep this up?" But it's impeccable.
  • "God is a Bullet" by Boston Teran has stuck in my mind for a lotta, lotta years.
  • just picked this up from, i'm going to be the trendiest girl at the lunch table.

i got this for like $5-ish, but the complete text is available at the link below.

"I wish that every citizen of every country in the free world and every slave behind the Iron Curtain might read this book."

  • My friend Miguel wrote this amazing Vampire books that is loaded with gnostic themes, plot twists, metaphysics, and it will definitely bend your brain. If you are amazon prime members, it is free on kindle, or 99 cents for everyone else.
  • Thanks for this!

Infinite Jest has been on my shelf for years... need to crack that sucker... it's a big one though.
  • Thank you so much for sharing this list, my friend. My birthday is coming up and I think a few titles from that selection will do quite nicely. :)
  • Not sure if this was mentioned but I just got Conversations With God. Very mindfucky,
  • A 747 was halfway across the Atlantic when the captain got on the loud speaker, "Attention, passengers. We have lost one of our engines, but we can certainly reach London with the three we have left. Unfortunately, we will arrive an hour late as a r esult."

Shortly thereafter, the passengers heard the captain's voice again, "Guess what, folks. We just lost our third engine, but please be assured we can fly with only one. We will now arrive in London three hours late."

At this point, one passenger became furious. "For Pete's sake," he shouted, "If we lose another engine, we'll be up here all night!"

  • ^Spam?

Morphic Resonance is a pretty mind fucking book, as is Tryptamine Palace. At a lower level of mind fucking, probably more mind enriching, is "Moonwalking with Einstein" which is about a dude who taught himself some memory techniques in a year and became US memory champion.
  • Anything by Philip K. Dick, but Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch particularly.

Also, Illuminatus! Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea will induce a mindfuck as well. In fact part of the plot is based around O.M. which stands for Operation Minduck.

  • Joseph Campbell-the power of myth. Changed my life.
  • ^ that's a good one

For me it's The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury.

That book changed everything for me back in middle school.
The Head Apollo is about to return.
St Sophia is going to be born again; she was not acceptable before.
Siddhartha sleeps (but is going to awaken). The time you have waited for has come.
  • When Rabbit Howls was good... fascinating and disturbing.
  • Neuropath by R Scott Bakker. It gives a little peak into what neuroscience might look like in a not so distant future.Fucked me up for a couple of days, then I was back to ignoring that shit:)
