There is a real possibility that Redban will read some of this shit. He is obviously an emotional guy, and this is neither what he needs, nor deserves. Yes, he seems to be a strange person, but he also seems to be a pretty good dude.
Also, this is the "Redban appreciation thread", not the "Lets all note all of redbans shortcomings!"-thread. What do you people get out of shit talking about him? Cause you see, writing it all in a grammatically correct, "as a matter of fact"-way doesnt change the nature of this. Its shit talking.
You people are actually complaining about a guy that ensures you get the free podcast you want, yet you paint him as a humongous jackass.
I might never understand this forum. Until this incident between two people, it seemed like a hangout for positive, intelligent and awesome dudes/dudettes(is that even a word?). Yet the second some kind of intrigue pops up, some of you go amok. What the fuck guys?

Redban is a little fucked in the head like MrAgileBeast said. But, he brings the funny every now and then and runs the technical side of the podcast. Cut the dude some slack. He's got a stressful life that I couldn't do.
Also, it's hilarious how you call him a vampire, but you went on to type up 4 paragraphs worth of text on the guy. If he bothers you that badly, just ignore the shit he says, or start taking his comments in jest. You, like Redban, are inviting negativity into your life by getting worked up over something you could just avoid.
I'm afraid you drastically misinterpreted my post. I'm hardly worked up (lol), and I'm assuming the general negativity of the overall situation caused you to perceive my post through a distorted lens.
In my quest to further understand humanity in general, I was posing a question to further understand why someone that I perceive to be negative and vampiric is showered in positivity? I was hoping for an actual answer besides "he occasionally brings the lulz."
I then followed that up with a quick summary of why I perceive him to be negative and vampiric (quick for me...I type very fast and am very long-winded), and my perceived conclusion. It's important to note that I do hope for his best development in the end, but the realist in me sees it as a great challenge.
I'm not looking to rally a mob to go after Redban. That's just silly. Conversely, I greatly respect the collective group of this forum, and there are many here that see the guy in a positive light. I'm trying to understand their perspective versus my perspective in an ultimate goal of pursuing truth. No ego. Just a veritable exchange of notes, if you will.
If you think that's a vampiric and negative quest on my part, I don't know what to say.

Duncan handled his apology pretty well on the "Emil" podcast...He did not "name" the "friend" that he "yelled at" but it seemed obvious that it was Redban...I am about to listen to Bonezone #17 (not sure if that is the one). Probably shouldn't waste my time. I SUPPORT REDBAN 100% and I definitely get where Duncan is coming from. I wonder if Redban was on Aderol during the fight...

By the way. . . redban absolutely melted down on twitter after obviously listening to DTFH. He needs to grow up. I agree that you don't have to immediately forgive someone if you feel wronged. But he shouldn't have gone on twitter. It seems especially ironic because redban's hissy fits are a result of him thinking Duncan made a private conversation public. Yet, Redban cries all over twitter all the time?

I'm not trying to be an ass. I actually don't understand the positive consideration outside of these terms.
He's not actually funny, nice, intelligent or interesting. In fact, he rarely has respect for the JRE conversations and often hijacks them in order to address an absolutely mundane life event or nonsensical observation that is immediately dismissed by Rogan and guest. This is consistently childish, vampiric action, and it's rooted in his strongly ego-based clinging onto Joe.
He's got a very obvious yet difficult mental feedback loop that he has to address. Basically, it's this--he's obviously intimidated by the quantity of hilarious and/or interesting guests Rogan has on the podcast on a regular basis (who wouldn't be?). This makes him uncomfortable, and this insecurity is compounded when Joe is particularly engaged with a guest. On an emotional, ego-based level, he, too, wants this level of attention from Joe, so he interrupts/interjects in desperation. Unfortunately, what he's actually doing is sabotaging the very aspect of the podcast that makes it interesting--a free-flowing conversation between interesting people--by stifling the flow and by doing so with something uninteresting. Yet, he continues to do this despite all of the negative feedback and the usual obvious negative response given from guests.
Given how generally illogical, emotional and hard-headed he is, it would take a lot of deprogramming to fix this. It's probably more realistic to relegate him to the fringes of society with the "Did you just get out of the shower?" people.
You'd like for the guy to grow and figure it out, but he's 37...and it's getting worse.

It took me SO FUCKING LONG to find the source of this debate. Christ!
Anyway....I gave "Redban" (not his REAL name) credit, but it was the Adderrall. And as someone who runs a podcast, it's NOT that hard. How fucking dare him complain about ANYTHING. He would be an un-employed NOBODY if it weren't for Joe Rogan. And I grew to kinda like him, see that he throws things in to fuck up conversations he finds boring.
Rogan should keep him as a friend but get Redban an asst OR tell him that "Hey, guess what? Where would you be without ME?, bro?" Rogan is too humble though. Duncan was way too humble. Call bullshit for what it is, and Brian saying "Fuck Duncan Trussell" repeatedly just unleased a swarm of chaos that's gonna hit him hard. Hmmmm....reminds me of a COKEHEAD (which, make no mistake IS Adderall. So he was being an over-confident prick. Unless this is all a trick, soap opera to get us all upset, but I don't think so.
Redban does seriously need to say that to Duncan's face and see what happens. Let them box it out. Who wouldn't pay $50 to see that fight? Redban was SO outta line. Ari knew it, Joe knew it. And I love the quote above from Joey Diaz.
Basically Redban is a Vampire, if an artist comes down to perform then they should be compensated equally, even if it's five bucks. It's a traditional exchange. Plus you don't have to worry about gas, etc. Redban is MORE than profiting off these shows. What exactly does he do? Even Don Immera (sp?) hated him. I'm starting to think there might be something to that.
Joe is just too damn generous to not even fire him, just push him aside, hire me. His position is of such honor and he typifies the LA hipster that is so lazy and unknowledgeable about any topic Rogan brings up. He's a child and ACTS like one, THAT's IT! Plus now he's on Adderrall and that is a slippery slope indeed. I bet its from his hooker girlfriend (Or whore? I forget which). And being a pornstar is being a prostitute, I'm sorry. Jenna Jameson's argument about "we don't enjoy it" is bullshit. That industry is lead by some REALLY DARK DARK DARK people man. And so, he can go evaporate. I'm no longer going to follow him on Twitter. D was WAY too nice to him, he needs to go away man, or see the light on the way to Damascus..
He's not worth even this time consumption of mine or anyone's. He should apologize. And you know what? If you heard him he said "not ONCE have I been on his podcast! WAHHHHH" and, "It's not about money...FUCK THAT only $150 fucking dollars plus a door fee." Hypocrite. Baby. No wisdom. Little knowledge. Where would he be without Rogan? Rogan would've still had a podcast, so would have Duncan. Why is Brian even around? I'm stopping because I wanna talk about Emil Amos, who was FANTASTIC this time! I'll be in that thread.
I wanna see where he and Redban had to be separated by Joe. Anyone got that Where and when?
Cheers,
Brandon

But I do love you guys, and I appreciate your support.
